The Birds of Chile
 Our field guide to the Birds of Chile is out!
Published in November 2003, we hope it becomes the
standard reference for field identification and distribution
of the Chilean avifauna.
The book is co-published by Princeton University
Press in North America, and by Helm Publications (A&C
Black) in Europe. The covers differ for the two versions,
the information inside is exactly the same.
This site is primarily to keep our book Birds of
Chile up to date, giving users updates and new information
that was not available at the time of publication.
In addition, we hope this page will become a valuable
resource to anyone travelling and birding in Chile.
We will be adding news on recent discoveries, as well
as site guides and other information of use to the
travelling birder.
Thank you to Frode Falkenberg for design inspiration
and use of some design elements for these pages.
